Nha Phu Lagoon covers an area of over 1,000 hectares, forming part of Binh Cang Bay (Binh Khang Bay), adjacent to Nha Trang Bay. It is one of the two largest lagoons in Khanh Hoa Province. The Nha Phu Lagoon area features a diverse ecosystem of forests, mountains, rivers, streams, and islands, offering great advantages and potential for tourism development, aquaculture, and fishing. Notable attractions include Hon Thi, Hon Lao, Hon Sam, Hon Da Bac (Princess Beach), Hon Lao (Monkey Island), Suoi Hoa Lan (Orchid Stream), and famous resorts such as Ninh Van and An Lam.
Nha Phu Lagoon boasts a variety of terrains: islands, streams, sea, lakes, mountains, and bays. The lagoon has calm sections as well as areas with gentle waves, suitable for sightseeing tours. The landscape is pristine, with sparse population and pure white sand beaches stretching for kilometers. Additionally, Nha Phu is rich in flora and fauna. According to a survey by the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography, the lagoon hosts 232 species of phytoplankton, including about 150 species of diatoms (65%) and dinoflagellates (belonging to green algae group, 32%). Local residents around Nha Phu Lagoon make a living through aquaculture.
A part of Nha Phu Lagoon is managed and operated by Long Phu Tourism Company, focusing on marine island ecotourism combined with entertainment. Hon Lao Island (Monkey Island) is used for resort development.

From the center of Nha Trang, head north on National Highway 1A for about 15 km to Ninh Hoa town, then take a boat or speedboat to visit the sites within the lagoon.
